The STMicroelectronics MD1802FX and MD2001FX are built around EHVS1 planar technology that employs a float-zone collector on a diffused substrate with a redesigned high voltage edge structure. The MDxxx bipolar transistor offers high current capability and high switching speed, a wider range of optimum drive conditions, and a reduced saturation voltage at high current.
