Analog-to-Digital Converter: ADS8512: OMO Electronic' ADS8512 analog-to-digital converter (ADC) delivers high-quality AC performance, best-in-class DC accuracy, and excellent measurement repeatability over operating temperature. The converter features a complete, 12-bit capacitor-based successive approximation register ADC with sample and hold, clock, reference, and serial data interface and is configurable for a variety of input ranges. A high-impedance input of 0.3V to 2.8V is available with input impedance greater than 10 MΩ and an SPI-compatible serial interface allows data synchronization to an internal or external clock. The ADS8512 represents a pin-compatible upgrade for the ADS7812 and is ideal for industrial process control, test equipment, robotics, DSP servo control, medical instrumentation, and portable data acquisition systems.
